Here’s how:

• Invite everyone for a casual, drinks-and-nibbles evening. No need to worry about entertainment (although a play list of schmaltzy carols would be an added touch…)
• Make sure your Ugly Sweater is the Ugliest. Scour all sorts of resale shops, from the funkiest to the most sublime (even the designer-type boutiques often offer tacky holiday-themed sweaters, because they’re collectibles!) While you’re shopping, pick up any tongue-in-chic accessories you find (Santa ties? Reindeer slippers? Light-up pins?) to add to a guest’s raiment.
• Have a ball! And take pictures so you can embarrass your friends 😉
